Job description

Position Summary:

The Consulting Services Manager will be responsible for leading consulting and project engagements, external business partners, and a team of Microsoft technologists. These technologists are the core of the Microsoft services delivery practice and ensure that customers are provided full lifecycle support from pre-sales to implementation through ongoing support. You will ensure the team is organized and executes effectively to positively affect customer revenue, retention, growth, and satisfaction. Understanding the functional aspect of enterprise Microsoft technologies, you will effectively lead and direct the team on how we can better serve the needs of prospects and customers while developing new service offerings.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee a team of resources to deliver quality solutions to clients including managerial duties related to the team of technologists including but not limited to hiring, performance reviews, and terminations.

  • Mentoring and coaching of team members around process, timesheets, tools, etc.

  • Ensure consistent and sufficient pre-sales support to meet revenue and gross profit goals.

  • Break down high-level problems, translate complex processes into concrete deliverables, and build best-in-class solutions that meet the needs of both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Manage escalations and provide engagement management to client projects.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of critical situations and make recommendations and plans for preventing recurrences.

    • Measure the consumption and usage of services by resource, user, and application group.

    • Ensure that services meet customer requirements, meet ITIL standards, and complying with defined Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Collaborate with the TAM to examine ticket trends and identify recurring issues and common threads. Analyze issues and engineer changes to proactively prevent and solve current problems.

  • Articulate effectively to both technical and non-technical resources across all levels of an organization.

  • Partner with client collaborators to translate business requirements into cloud solutions and deploy, upgrade, or migrate to the latest Microsoft technologies.

  • Review existing architecture and configuration plans to make proper recommendations to ensure future supportability.

  • Make recommendations on the best course to business scenarios that will reduce the time needed for successful deployments or migrations.

  • Participate in problem analysis and aid in determining strategic software solutions and enhancements to address identified issues.

  • Stay abreast of new technologies and application releases

  • Deliver compelling presentations to connect and influence diverse audiences and inspire change and adoption of new technologies and programs
