Position Description: 

Rockpoint Legal Funding is seeking a proactive and resourceful Business Development Representative to help expand our reach within the legal community. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying new law firm partnerships, building detailed business profiles, and generating high-quality leads for our Field Sales Team.

As a key member of the Business Development team, you’ll initiate outreach to firms not currently doing business with Rockpoint, gather essential information, and lay the groundwork for long-term relationships. This position requires strong communication skills, curiosity, and a strategic mindset.

Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Make outbound calls to law firms not currently doing business with Rockpoint to introduce our services and build relationships.
  • Create detailed business profiles for law firms, gathering information on case volume, firm structure, and funding potential.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads by identifying key decision-makers, understanding their funding needs, and assessing fit.
  • Maintain and update a pipeline of qualified law firms in the CRM, tracking outreach activity and next steps.
  • Collaborate with the Field Sales Team to build and refine target lists for in-person meetings or high-touch follow-ups.
  • Respond to inquiries about Rockpoint’s services, providing general information and routing more complex requests to the appropriate team.
  • Schedule introductory calls or demos for the Field Sales Team when a firm expresses interest in learning more.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate information sharing and smooth handoff of leads.
  • Monitor and log all outreach activity to ensure consistent communication and follow-up efforts.
  • Stay current on legal industry trends, competitors, and Rockpoint product updates to speak knowledgeably with prospects.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and qualification goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales team.

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated sales performance with a concentration developing and maintaining broker/seller relationships
  • Proven ability to set and reach sales goals
  • Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information about Rockpoint, its sales process flow, its products and the funding industry
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 – 5 years of experience as a wholesale and/or correspondent account executive with multiple brokers, investors and loan products preferred.
  • Previous experience with medical lien purchasing and selling.
  • Previous experience as a sales representative required, preferably in the legal funding industry.

Compensation: 

$8.00 - $12.00 USD / Hour
