The Network Project Assistant will support the Project Engineering team in the deployment and management of network projects, contributing to the successful implementation of network solutions for our clients. This role involves coordinating project activities, maintaining documentation, and assisting with technical tasks to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in network technologies and a desire to develop their skills in network engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the Project Engineer in coordinating and executing network installation and upgrade projects.
· Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
· Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and team members to ensure project alignment and success.
· Help prepare and configure networking equipment under the guidance of senior engineers.
· Participate in on-site installations, assessments, and testing of network infrastructure.
· Support the review and analysis of site survey data to verify network coverage and performance.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in network engineering.
· Conduct research and gather information to assist in the design and planning of network solutions.
· Perform administrative tasks related to project management and coordination.
Requirements
Education:
· Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
· At least 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or project coordination role, preferably in networking or IT.
· Familiarity with network technologies and equipment (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, etc.) is a plus.
Licenses and Certifications:
· Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are a plus but not required.
Knowledge:
· Basic understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and routing concepts.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other document management tools.
· Experience with network design and analysis software (e.g., Visio, Ekahau) is advantageous.
