THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, support teams and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
Create and maintain the information architecture.
Maintain Matific’s Help Center:

-Create, update, unpublish and delete articles

-Capture images, gifs and videos to use in articles

-Oversee localization of articles to other languages

-Work with designers & developers to maintain the Help Center theme

Requirements

Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
Strong technical background with the ability to self-learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Ability to deliver high-quality documentation paying attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to understand and perform basic programming.
Ability to perform screen capture, basic image and video editing.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
Experience working with a YouTube channel - Added advantage
