We are forming a new team and looking for an organized, experienced, and driven Senior Frontend Engineer to architect and build our user interfaces from the ground up. This engineer will be responsible for delivering exceptional, high-performance web applications using the latest technologies, primarily React and Next.js. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Architecting, developing, and deploying scalable, performant, and maintainable frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Building complex, data-intensive user interfaces, similar to stock screeners or real-time dashboards, capable of handling high-velocity data streams.
Establishing and owning the frontend architecture for a new product area, ensuring it aligns with modern best practices.
Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into seamless and intuitive user experiences.
Implementing robust testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure code quality and reliability.
Leveraging AWS services for frontend deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure needs.
Staying current with the latest frontend trends, tooling (like Vite, Turborepo, etc.), and best practices, advocating for their adoption where beneficial.
Mentoring junior engineers (as the team grows) and actively participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
5-8+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on frontend development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Expertise in React.js and its ecosystem (state management, routing, hooks).
Proven experience with Next.js for building server-rendered and static web applications.
Demonstrable experience architecting and building complex, large-scale frontend applications from scratch.
Strong experience developing data-heavy interfaces that require efficient rendering and state management for high-frequency updates.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches (e.g., Tailwind CSS,, CSS-in-JS).
Solid understanding and practical experience with AWS services relevant to frontend development (e.g., S3, CloudFront, Amplify, Lambda, API Gateway).
Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), package managers (npm/yarn), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Experience writing comprehensive tests using frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
Familiarity with consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Knowledge of agile and Scrum principles and experience working in agile environments.
Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects to completion.
Strong team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Technical Skills:

Expertise: React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+)
Strong Proficiency: HTML5, CSS3 (including Tailwind CSS or similar), State Management (e.g., Zustand, Redux Toolkit, Context API), Frontend Testing (Jest, React Testing Library)
Experience: AWS (S3, CloudFront, Amplify, Lambda, API Gateway), CI/CD Tools, Git, REST/GraphQL APIs
Familiarity (Bonus): Node.js/Bun/Deno or backend languages like Python or Go, GraphQL client libraries (Apollo/Relay), End-to-End testing (Cypress/Playwright), WebSockets, performance optimization techniques, modern build/monorepo tools (Vite, Turborepo).
