Be one of the firsts to initiate program integrity measures for our clients as a Pharmacy Technician Subject Matter Expert (SME) at GDIT. As a Pharmacy Technician SME, you will help uphold federal and local laws, regulations, and guidance to help implement and provide oversight to government programs. Our work depends on a Pharmacy Technician SME joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services through pharmaceutical knowledge, policy research and analysis of pharmaceutical manufacturer marketing and pricing data to streamline program operations. The position will provide the team with up-to-date information on the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program (hereafter Negotiation Program) as established under the Inflation Reduction Act needed to monitor and oversee stakeholder activities.

THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION (Approx. 20 hours a week)

How a Pharmacy Specialist SME will make an impact:
● Delivers pharmaceutical and regulatory knowledge to support the mission of CMS to provide continuous monitoring and oversight tasks for Negotiation Program compliance purposes
● Work with a team dedicated to the mission of using data insights to identify outliers, trends, and areas of interest to support program objectives
● Provide expertise to a multi-disciplined team and customer based upon findings and complex analyses.

● Prepare and provide presentations of material to team members, leadership, and our customer as required.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 7-10 years of related experience conducting policy research of Medicare
  • Detail oriented data analysis skills including working with FDA drug databases and Medicare data, analyzing data for trends and outliers, and exercising quality control

Desired Skills:

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance administration of prescription drug coverage
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to solve complex problems; strong written and verbal communication skills
     

The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
