Job purpose:

We are We’re looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Specialist with a strong background in marketing automation and campaign execution. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a cross-functional environment and can confidently navigate both technical and client-facing conversations. You’ll join a small, agile team supporting one of our high-profile clients in a multi-channel digital marketing initiative targeting millions of users.


This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining an existing SFMC setup—not building from scratch. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically confident, and eager to take full ownership of Salesforce-side marketing operations within a collaborative environment.


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote – from Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Panama.
  • Type of Contract: Full-time (Remote)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time Zone).
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced / Intermediate to advanced English (required)
  • Availability: Immediate start required


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Automation & Journey Execution:
    • Design and manage multi-step customer journeys using Journey Builder with
      triggers, wait times, and decision splits.
    • Configure Automation Studio workflows including data imports, scheduled sends,
      and triggered automations.
    • Enhance and maintain existing SFMC infrastructure; this is not a greenfield
      implementation role.
    • Manage subscriber lifecycle through data extensions and relational data models.
  • Email Development & Personalization:
    • Build dynamic and personalized email content using AMPscript.
    • Develop responsive HTML/CSS email templates aligned with brand guidelines.
    • Run QA checks using test sends and previews to ensure flawless delivery.
    • Self-sufficient execution of technical tasks with light support from internal QA; must self-QA campaigns and troubleshoot independently.
  • Integration & Reporting:
    • Oversee API integrations and synchronize front-end collected data (e.g., forms, quizzes) with SFMC.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot data extensions and relational models.
    • Implement geolocation- and SMS-based campaigns as part of ongoing initiatives.
    • Monitor campaign performance and deliver insights to improve personalization, targeting, and automation efficiency.


Required Academic Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Engineer or related field preferred.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Proven expertise in Journey Builder and Automation Studio.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and ideally SQL and SSJS.
  • Solid understanding of subscriber management, data extension structures, and relational data models.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and dynamic content generation. 
  • Experience with QA/testing methods for email campaigns.
  • SMS and geolocation campaign familiarity is required due to active workstreams.
  • Awareness of how front-end tools (e.g., AEM/React.js-based quizzes and forms) feed data into SFMC.
  • Familiarity with campaign reporting tools and performance tracking within SFMC.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level or higher).
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    •  Strong client-facing skills with the ability to interpret briefs, share insights, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Embedded in a 7-person team: collaborate with a lead designer (main client contact), project manager (daily calls), and a development team working on AEM/React-based components.
    • Attend daily syncs, contribute live to cross-functional problem solving, and take ownership of SFMC execution (while not the primary client lead, must confidently explain SFMC decisions, campaign logic, and technical implications when needed).
    • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams with designers, developers, and project managers.
    • Willingness to document workflows, processes, and configurations for internal knowledge sharing.
