Job Summary:
Universal Primary Care is launching a new Obesity Management Program in collaboration with Kern Family Health Care, and we are seeking
motivated and bilingual Phone Operators to support our outreach efforts. The primary role of this position is to call Kern Family Health Plan members, introduce them to the program, and schedule their first visit. This is a key role in promoting healthier lives and connecting patients to supportive care.
Responsibilities:
Make120 to 150 outbound calls per day to Kern Family members.
Clearly explain the purpose and benefits of the Obesity Management Program.
Answer basic questions about the program and address common concerns.
Encourage eligible patients to participate and schedule their initial appointment.
Accurately document outcomes of each call and update contact information as needed.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth hand off for appointments.
Meet daily and weekly call quotas and follow communication scripts when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Previous experience in a call center, outreach, or medical office is preferred.
Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
Comfort with electronic systems and data entry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Empathetic, patient-centered, and professional demeanor.
