We count some of Toronto’s major professional firms and organizations as our loyal long-term clients. Numerous venues, charitable organizations and sporting events are catered for by Marigolds and Onions.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, physically capable Inventory Assistant (Warehouse Runner) to support one of our premier golf events. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring consistent movement of inventory throughout the site to ensure seamless operations.

This is a seasonal, on-site position scheduled from May 19 – June 13, with a pay rate of $18/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Movement & Organization: Assist with the receipt, loading, and distribution of products including produce, dry goods, beverages, and supplies, using carts or material handling equipment.
  • Equipment Use: Operate forklifts, golf carts, and other basic handling equipment to transport goods across the event site.
  • Efficient Storage: Store goods in designated locations following inventory protocols (e.g., First In, First Out) to maintain freshness and accuracy.
  • Stocking & Replenishment: Refill storage and service areas across the site based on daily par levels and operational needs.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick and deliver requisition orders promptly using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Assist in conducting inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels in storage units and key areas.
  • Urgent Replenishments: Respond to time-sensitive product requests from various departments to avoid supply disruptions.
  • Stocking Merchandisers: Refill coolers, fridges, and merchandisers with beverages or perishables as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a full-time on-site position at a professional outdoor sporting event.
  • Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent movement between kitchens, warehouses, and service areas via walking or golf carts
  • May involve climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting/moving inventory throughout long shifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing or walking for long periods (8+ hours)
  • Regular bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, and physical handling of products
  • Operating carts, dollies, forklifts, or other handling equipment
  • Navigating between locations across large outdoor venues

POSITION SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Rate: $18/hour
  • Schedule: May 19 – June 13, full-time event-based shifts
