The Work

The Sales Engineer will serve as a vital technical and functional product expert within the sales organization, reporting directly to the Head of Sales Enablement. This individual will work closely with Sales, Solutions/Product, Marketing, Professional Services, and Sales Leadership to help drive revenue growth and enhance product knowledge across the sales team. They will participate in sales calls, coach and support sales reps, and provide strategic feedback based on market interactions and internal tools like Gong, HighSpot, and Salesforce.

  • Conduct post-call debriefs with sales reps to discuss technical strengths, improvement areas, and upcoming opportunities for strategic alignment.
  • Create and maintain a repository of best practices, frequently asked questions, and battle cards tailored to different sales personas and industry verticals.
  • Design and deliver monthly enablement sessions focused on specific technical sales topics—e.g., “Selling to IT buyers,” “Positioning integrations,” or “Handling security objections.”
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Enablement to evolve the training curriculum, ensuring consistent upskilling of SDRs and SAEs based on market shifts and product updates.
  • Maintain a continuous feedback loop with team leads to help prioritize future training initiatives and product-focused sales content.

Product Intelligence & Testing (20%)

  • Participate in product sprint reviews and quarterly solution testing to stay informed on product updates, emerging capabilities, and any potential technical debt.
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales and product teams by capturing market-facing feedback during calls and submitting recommendations for feature enhancements or user experience improvements.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to ensure technical sales content—pitch decks, demo scripts, onboarding guides, competitive one-pagers—is current, compelling, and customized for diverse audience needs.
