Overview

We are looking to recruit a Project Manager -- Planview to join our GBS M&A Integration Management Office (IMO) Team. The position is a critical part of the IMO Team, focusing on optimizing internal systems to support GBS mergers and acquisitions. This position offers excellent opportunities for development, growth, and career progression. Specifically, this role requires deep Planview knowledge in order to be considered.

The role is accountable to the Onshore IMO Portfolio Manager, working on both regular and ad-hoc activities while closely collaborating with other IMO Team members (Onshore and Offshore). You must have strong expertise in project management applications, with a particular emphasis on Planview, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

You will be able to work independently to meet agreed timelines, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and researching innovative solutions for discussion and implementation. You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy and enjoy working on a variety of complex activities.

You are willing to work in a virtual team across multiple locations and enjoy interacting with diverse stakeholders across the organization. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be key to your success in this role.

This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Technology Optimization and Support: Provide end-user support and training for current project management tools, such as Planview, ensuring users can effectively utilize the system. Manage user provisioning and de-provisioning, assist with resource management, including database updates and resource attribute management, and assist with adding, editing, and creating new fields as required by project teams. Stay informed about potential changes in project management software and adapt support and training efforts accordingly.
  • Workflow and SOP Design: Design and implement efficient workflows and standard operating procedures to streamline integration processes. Ensure that SOPs are documented, accessible, and regularly updated to reflect best practices.
  • Dashboard Creation and Integration: Develop and maintain dashboards within Planview and Power BI to track integration progress and outcomes. Ensure seamless integration between Planview and Power BI to provide comprehensive insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Governance and Compliance: Lead or assist in running governance activities to maximize value from projects and programs. Generate compliance reports and ensure the timely publication of project status reports.
  • Training and Facilitation: Conduct training sessions for program managers and facilitate new hire onboarding and terminations within project management systems. Prepare program managers for review meetings and assist in the creation of new projects/programs using reusable templates.
  • AI Integration: Explore and implement AI solutions to enhance M&A IMO programs and best practices, or drive efficiencies in IMO processes. Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and assess their potential impact on integration processes.

About You

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience in project management or technology integration may be considered in lieu of a specific degree.
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in project management, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience specifically with Planview.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Planview and Power BI, with familiarity in additional project management software such as Microsoft Project, Easy Projects, and Smartsheet.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong skills in managing projects, including tracking progress, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring project governance.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Workflow Design: Experience in designing and implementing workflows and standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • AI Knowledge: Working knowledge of AI technologies and a willingness to learn and apply AI solutions to enhance integration processes.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing project documentation and resources.
