To expand our team we are looking for a Senior Payroll & Pension Analyst who will be REMOTE but willing to travel up to 20%, ( a few days in one of our Canada offices - Burlington, Kitchener or Peterborough office every other month. This role will work closely on all the tasks below with the HR admin and operations in Canada. The incumbent will coordinate and align the activities across all Canada.
Your Day To Day
Coordinate the processing of all global payroll cycles including regular payroll runs and offcycles
Perform all info type and time compares before each payroll run to ensure accuracy within SAP and Payroll Systems
Responsible for checking all payroll reports to identify payroll issues before processing and conducting root cause analysis for correction
Lead and provide guidance regarding the time systems on various payroll/time projects
Responsible for reconciling payroll to the general ledger and coordination for all global payroll funding and third-party payments
Responsible for answering employee’s and nonemployee’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 payroll and time inquiries and continually evaluating opportunities to increase capabilities of Tier I support inquiries.
Assist with year-end processes for all countries to ensure successful year end including all required government forms
Responsible for reviewing all retro pay adjustments for accuracy
Prepare payroll forecast versus actual report for analysis and to provide to Treasury for forecast and cash flow funding purposes
Work with provider as payroll’s point of contact to identify and resolve all global payroll processing issues and find ways to correct these issues moving forward
Establish and maintain measurable global payroll metrics to identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement. Report metrics and provide recommendation for process improvements to management
Work closely with provider to resolve employee global payroll issues and enter tickets with ticketing system when necessary
Work on various payroll projects to ensure continuous improvement from a payroll/time perspective
Manage reporting for employee pension and benefits contributions and employer matching
Work with HR and Finance systems to maintain accurate payroll and pension records and ensure accurate reporting to pension administrators
Assist in resolving issues related to salary, benefits and pension accounts
Work with SLA’s within the ticketing system. Report SLA results and identify and implement process solutions for improvements
Perform additional duties as assigned payroll manager

Who You Are
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience including global payroll processing
Minimum 3+ years experience processing global payroll in a high volume environment
Experience in answering employees/nonemployees global payroll Tier 2 and Tier 3 questions in a timely and professional manner
Experience with SAP/Success Factors
Experience in outsourced payroll organization
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to accuracy
Experience working in a high volume, accurate data entry, fast paced and dynamic environment
Detail oriented and experience in global payroll processing with tight deadlines
Outstanding work ethic and desire for advancing the organization
Team-oriented style and strong customer service attitude
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work flexible work hours to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
