About the Role

We are seeking a values-driven and strategic leader to develop and implement our charitable impact strategy, while guiding our fundraising efforts and nurturing long-term donor partnerships. As our first Strategy and Impact Director, the role holder will establish a strong evidence base for our work through effective measurement and evaluation. The Strategy and Impact Director will also enhance our charitable positioning by increasing our fundraising capabilities and external influence. Additionally, they will lead on policy development and play a crucial role in fostering a charitable culture and accountability throughout the organisation.

You will bring:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in strategy, impact, and corporate fundraising within the non-profit sector.
  • A strong track record in fundraising and donor relationship management, particularly with corporate and institutional funders.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver advocacy campaigns, including grassroots lobbying, coalition-building, and media engagement.
  • Extensive experience in impact measurement, data analysis, and reporting combined with the ability to tell compelling stories that showcase outcomes.
  • Confidence in influencing and advising at senior leadership and board level, with experience shaping and driving charitable strategy.
  • Strong proficiency with data management and reporting tools to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
  • The ability to lead and inspire teams, working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
  • High levels of cultural awareness and sensitivity, with experience working effectively in diverse, multicultural environments.
  • A strategic, mission-driven mindset with a passion for making a meaningful difference and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and shape this newly created role.
  • Experience in health, safety, or wellbeing sectors is welcome, but not essential.
