About the role:

We’re seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Technical Program Manager to serve as the relationship captain for a select group of customers whose success is critical to the future of our business. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring customer and product success by proactively managing project timelines, facilitating clear communication, and ensuring that our engineering team is positioned to deliver the right capabilities at the right time.



Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface and advocate for a small portfolio of large, technically sophisticated customers.
  • Proactively manage bi-directional communication, ensuring customers are consistently informed, engaged, heard, and satisfied.
  • Clearly and accurately translate complex and technical customer insights, feedback, and requests into meaningful guidance for our engineering team.
  • Partner with engineering to set project timelines and milestones, tracking progress and deliverables closely, providing transparency and clarity to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independently handle technical discussions with customers, maintaining credibility and confidence as you communicate product capabilities and gather feedback.


Required skills and experience

  • Strong project management skills: organized, detail oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical fluency: familiarity with one or more areas including configuration management, package management, CI/CD and deployment tooling, or embedded systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficient in message platforms, calendaring, and work management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.


Nice-to-have

  • Hands on experience with Nix/NixOS.
  • Previous roles in Solutions Engineering, Technical Product Management, Technical Account Management, or Sales Engineering.
  • Understanding of software lifecycle management, deployment workflows, and infrastructure management.
