Job description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Partner Specialist to join our growing team at ValPay as we scale our team in North America!

This is a client-facing role. You’ll be the go-to person for our partners, solving problems, answering questions, and making sure their payment operations run smoothly.

You’ll be joining a high-performance customer support team that is building the future of fintech for SaaS.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, like building trust with customers, and have a strong track record of supporting clients, this role is for you. If you're the type who rolls up your sleeves, solves problems, and cares about doing right by partners, we want to talk.

Payments can be complicated. We’re here to make them simpler, for software companies that want secure, scalable, no-nonsense solutions.

The working schedule for this position includes Evenings and Weekend hours – EST!

Here is a little window into our company: Valpay is the payments arm of Valsoft Corporation, and we power integrated payment systems for businesses globally. We’re a small, focused team with big support behind us, and we’re growing. ValPay operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical integrated payment processing solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, ValPay delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

Our motto is “Be Humble, Stay Hungry!”

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in Canada, working in a remote work model – Working hours are EST time zone, including Evenings and Weekends!

What your day will look like:

  • Support partners like a pro: You’ll be on the front line, responding to questions and issues via email or phone
  • Get them up and running: Help onboard new partners, walk them through our tools, and make sure their payment terminals are good to go
  • Solve problems fast: If something’s not working, you dig in. Whether it's terminal issues or something weird with a transaction, you figure it out, or loop in someone who can
  • Handle disputes and chargebacks: Walk our partners through what to do when a customer challenges a payment
  • Keep good notes: Document everything. Seriously. You’ll thank yourself later
  • Improve the process: If something’s broken or just annoying, say so. We want ideas and feedback, not just checkbox checkers

About You:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting clients, preferably in payments, fintech, merchant or services or similar, is essential
  • You know your way around payments: From gateways and terminals to the weird quirks of chargebacks, you’ve seen it
  • Terminals don’t scare you: You've set them up, troubleshoot them, maybe even taught someone’s grandma how to reboot one
  • You get risk: You know why chargebacks happen and what makes a transaction sketchy
  • You don’t panic: You’re calm under pressure, resourceful, and committed to getting the job done
  • You’re organized: You keep track of things, follow up, and don’t drop the ball
  • You’re flexible: You’re cool with evenings and weekends (EST) because that’s when some of our partners need us most
  • English is your strong suit: You write clearly, speak confidently, and explain technical stuff in plain terms
  • Bonus points if you’ve got: Experience with fraud prevention or PCI compliance
  • Optimistic, outgoing, and self-motivated with a friendly personality
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and pace-setter traits
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change
  • Must possess exceptional communication and time management skills
  • A roll-up-the-sleeves attitude towards problem-solving
  • Coachable, eager and willing to learn
  • Flunet in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
