At Schaeffler Powertrain and Chassis we are increasing our team with an additional Team Leader for SW Control systems. You will manage a team of 8 - 9 SW developerswho work for diverse applications for current technologies and also for the future ones, Fuel Cell stack being one example.

As a Team Leader of a SW team, you will manage the people and their software tasks for projects developed within an multi-location, international team. You will be responsible for the coordination and completion of the team's tasks on time, within budget, scope and quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to mentor and/ or coach team members, when necessary, on technical topics in order to obtain expected project results;
  • Ensures that new team members easily get integrated in his/ her organization;
  • Offers input to direct superior in the definition of the hiring plan for his/her team;
  • Is involved in all steps of the hiring process of new team members when requested;
  • Performs regular meeting with all direct reports, in order to monitor performance, motivation, give & receive feedback, discuss the road map and plan actions if necessary;
  • Responsible to motivate and retain his/ her direct reports, escalating to his/ her direct superior the issues which need higher management involvement/ decision;
  • Responsible for ensuring that employees' competencies and capabilities from his/ her team are at the level required by the job, by setting objectives and proposing technical and soft skills trainings for his employees;
  • Performs the yearly Performance Management Process for all direct reports, with the supervision of the direct superior when needed, according to the applicable procedure, time and budget limits;
  • Responsible for implementing working procedures in order to meet quality standards;
  • Ensures quality and in time delivery of results within the agreed framework, by monitoring regularly the status team work packages;
  • Contributes to process improvement;
  • Responsible for technical solutions of his team, in his area of responsibility.

Key Qualifications

  • Previous Team Leader experience or coordination activities;
  • You have more than 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of embedded SW development;
  • You are a well organized, detail-oriented and process driven person;
  • You are self-motivated, independent and possess good problem solving skills;
  • You have strong written, verbal, presentation and overall communication skills;
  • You are able to get a high-level understanding of how different SW functions work.
