LCA & Footprint Calculation Expert (m/f/d)

Your Tasks
Evaluate the corporate carbon footprint to support WEPA’s SBT pathway and emission reduction efforts
Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) for products, fibres, technologies and raw materials
Maintain and further develop the Power BI-based Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculation tool
Support Business Units with sustainability data, presentations and supplier engagement regarding PCF and its limitations
Contribute to CSRD reporting and highlight WEPA’s frontrunner ambition through extended assessments
Your Profile
Personality: Sustainability-driven mindset with a strong sense of purpose, stakeholder-oriented, collaborative and motivated to make a meaningful impact.
Working: Analytical, structured and data-driven with strong conceptual thinking, able to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively across departments.
Experience and Know-how:
Solid experience in life cycle assessments (LCA), carbon footprinting and sustainability metrics.
Skilled in conducting environmental analyses and interpreting sustainability data.
Proficient in Power BI, Excel and LCA software such as SimaPro.
Familiar with data visualization and reporting tools as well as international standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 14040/44, EU PEF, GHG Protocol, SBTi) and databases like Ecoinvent.
Qualification: A Bachelor's or Master's degree or a comparable qualification, preferably in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
