Pay range and compensation package

Senior Business Analyst, Grade 11, exempt, $81,341.82 - $113,878.54 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Principal Business Analyst, Grade 13, exempt, $93,128.25 - $130,379.53 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits package available. PERA position.


Preferred Candidate

Candidates with at least two years' of Workday ERP experience will be given priority consideration during the selection process.


Travel

  • Occasional travel to Minnesota for organizational meetings or events.


About the Role

As a Senior or Principal Business Analyst, you are responsible for solution discovery, thought leadership, and requirements definition for large enterprise-wide initiatives. This position will primarily support the Workday financial functions and the adaptive planning tool for the organization.

  • Stays informed and educated on changing technologies, frameworks, and business analyst best practices


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field AND a minimum of four years’ experience in a combination of quality assurance and/or business analysis, with at least two years being in business analysis OR
  • A combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work experience in a combination of quality assurance and/or business analysis, with at least four years being in business analysis, equivalent to a total of eight years.
  • Four years’ experience with some the following project management tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Smartsheets.
  • Two years’ experience with various software development approaches including agile and waterfall.
  • Strong business process/operational knowledge (e.g., customer service, inventory management, procurement, accounting)


In addition to the above, the Principal Business Analyst required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field AND a minimum of ten years’ experience in a combination of quality assurance and/or business analysis, with at least five years being in business analysis
  • OR
  • A combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work experience in a combination of quality assurance and/or business analysis, with at least seven years being in business analysis, equivalent to a total of fourteen years.
  • Ten years’ experience with some the following project management tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Smartsheets.
  • Five years’ experience with various software development approaches including agile and waterfall.
