SAT/ACT Tutor (Part Time Only)

Job Description

• Prepare and teach interactive lessons focused on building a strong foundation in SAT/ACT Math, Reading, Writing, and ACT Science
• Teach effective strategies for time management, multiple-choice logic, and test-specific techniques
• Guide students through structured practice using real and simulated past paper questions
• Analyze performance data to help students identify areas for improvement
• Create sample essays and model responses to demonstrate scoring rubrics and expectations
• Use the Socratic method to encourage student engagement and critical thinking
• Assist in the development of proprietary SAT/ACT teaching materials and curriculum
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents
• Stay up to date on changes in test format and content from the College Board and ACT Inc.
  
  

Working Hours

Part-time

• A minimum of 4 hours per week between 4:00 PM and 9:30 PM HKT on weekdays and between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM on weekends
  
  

Full-time

• 40-hour workweek across 5 working days
• 2 rest days per week
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong performance on the SAT or ACT (score report may be requested)
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience in standardized test prep is a plus
• Passionate about teaching students; patient, adaptable, and engaging
• Excellent communication skills
• Fresh graduates with strong test scores and academic backgrounds will also be considered
• High-achieving university students may apply for part-time roles
