This position is an intermediate Claims role under minimal supervision responsible for detailed understanding of applicable policies, state and insurance industry laws and regulations. The incumbent will process, investigate, negotiate, and settle a variety of increasingly complex property claims.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze claims to determine need for additional investigation
Deal / communicated directly with 3rd parties and customers in the investigation, negotiation, and conclusion of claims in accordance with established procedures

Evaluate / approve / pay claims up to pre-approved limit dependent on products serviced

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 + years customer service experience including demonstrated tele-service skills
2 + years property claims handling prefer
Excellent oral and written communication skills including claim correspondences

Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
Experience in reading and interrupting policy language
Structure estimating experiences including knowledge of Xactimate
Does require P & C license (can be obtained in the first 60 days of employment)
Maybe required travel

Base Salary Range:

$71,700.00 - $107,600.00
