Job Summary
Create Music Group’s Business Affairs team is growing! We are looking for an individual to join and
assist the Business Affairs team and A&Rs with agreement drafting, managing terminations, takedowns
and conflicts, and organizing legal information. If you are interested in a future career in music law this is
a great opportunity to learn and have a hands-on, introductory experience!
Responsibilities
Creating documents on Salesforce
Tracking deals across various departments
Drafting simple forms and reviewing contracts
Populating schedule information
Managing the material terms in client accounts
Closing deals and creating abstracts for each deal
Sending documents for execution and saving the same
Organizing of deal terms, client information, and documents
Requesting contracting information from artists, managers, and legal teams
Coordinating final deal points with A&Rs
Creating, and reviewing redlines and edits to agreement drafts
Keeping track of deal negotiations
Communicating with various teams across the company
Managing projects within the Business Affairs team
Managing the deal flow and following up on actionable items as needed
Helping maintain Business Affairs deal templates including helping iron out errors in Salesforce
Scheduling meetings
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in law school
Needs to be organized and detail oriented
Strong communication skills
Needs to have an interest in the legal field and eager to learn
Self-learner
Can handle high volume of projects
Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe
Some music industry experience preferred
Pay Scale
This is a for-credit internship.
