Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Regional EDI Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all EDI-related activities within the assigned region. This role ensures seamless electronic communication between the company and its trading partners, supports EDI integration projects, and collaborates with internal teams to optimize data exchange processes. The Regional EDI Lead acts as the primary point of contact for EDI operations, troubleshooting, and partner onboarding in the region.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage EDI operations and initiatives across the region.
  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert for EDI standards, protocols, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (IT, logistics, finance, customer service) to support EDI integration and process improvements.
  • Onboard and support new trading partners, ensuring successful EDI setup and testing.
  • Monitor EDI transactions and troubleshoot issues to ensure data accuracy and timely processing.
  • Maintain documentation of EDI processes, mappings, and partner requirements.
  • Coordinate with global EDI teams to align regional practices with global standards.
  • Analyze EDI performance metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and data security policies.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EDI operations, preferably in a regional or global role.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, FTP, VAN).
  • Experience with EDI mapping tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the [industry, e.g., retail, manufacturing, healthcare].
  • Familiarity with integration platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, OpenText, Boomi).
  • Multilingual capabilities depending on the region.
