About Role

As part of an agile team, you will research and build the software on telematics devices with state-of-the-art technologies and features like communication, networking, and positioning.  You will be on a path-finding mission to enable and create new business in the Telematics domain. Will be part of highly visible demos; and lead effort to bring the product and solutions to market. Your responsibilities include design, development/coding, build, debug, and modify software enhancements and new products development.

What You Will Do

• Enable platform software for research and development of POCs and demos in areas like 5G.
• Understand business requirements, associate them with agile entities (stories/tasks) for planning and execution.
• Provide a bridge between Harman pre-sales team and the engineering team.
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable, well mannered (CPU, memory, disk, power, network) automotive grade Linux applications.
• Mentor and lead a team of engineers to develop POCs derived from product use case scenarios.

What You Need to be Successful

• Masters/bachelor’s degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline
• Should have 7 to 9 years of overall experience in an embedded product development environment.
• Create reusable and scalable C, C++ code.
• Proficient in Object oriented analysis and Design, Data structures and Algorithms.
• Good experience in creating Low-level Design artifacts in UML.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills with embedded hardware.
• Hands on experience using GDB and ability to analyze back traces.
• Proficient understanding of STL (Standard Template Library): containers and algorithms.
• Good experience with application development in a Linux embedded environment.
• Working experience:
  • In multithreading environment and thread synchronization techniques. 
  • With industry standard version control systems like GIT, Gerrit.
  • With Gtest based C++ unit test framework.
• Experience in Agile methodologies, Configuration and Project Management tools.
• Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams across geographies.

What Makes You Eligible

Understanding of Automotive diagnostics and On-Board Diagnostics.

Hands on experience working with UDS (Unified Diagnostics Services) ISO 14229-1, DOIP (Diagnostics over IP) ISO 13400, DOCAN (Diagnostics over CAN) ISO 15765.

Working experience with system D-bus, TCP/IP and CAN.

Hardware schematics analysis related to diagnostics circuits.

Diagnostics requirement analysis and evaluation.
