What You’ll Do

As a Middle/Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing services for scoring and fraud prevention. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Development:

• Build backend services using Kotlin (Spring or Micronaut) that drive scoring and anti-fraud systems.
• Implement scoring rules, fraud prevention algorithms, and partner integrations.

Risk Analytics Tools:

• Develop tools and platforms for analysts to rapidly test, deploy, and fine-tune scoring rules and strategies.
• Improve analytics tools to provide deeper insights and actionable data.

Integration & SDK Development:

• Integrate with external partners to expand capabilities and improve fraud detection.
• Develop and enhance SDKs for seamless partner and client integration.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

• Work closely with business analysts to refine requirements and understand business logic.
• Discuss architectural decisions with the team and analysts engineers and ensure robust implementation.

Maintain High Standards:

• Participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and enhance the stability of production systems.
• Continuously improve scalability and security of services to handle growing customer demands.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong Kotlin skills (or solid Java experience with a willingness to transition to Kotlin).
• Nice to have: experience with decision-making (e.g. DMN)
• experience with process orchestration (e.g. BPMN). Statistical/analytical background

Tech Stack Proficiency:

• Kotlin, Spring/Micronaut, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes (K8s), Kibana, GitLab.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.

Language Skills:

• English Level B2 or higher to collaborate with international colleagues and review documentation.

Soft Skills:

• Self-driven and capable of making informed decisions autonomously.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience with Kanban or other agile methodologies is a plus.
