WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


This position will provide dedicated support to their agreed business units. They will support the business in setting and achieving the Finance strategy and to manage the performance of the business.

The Finance Business Partner will form part of the business SMT and influence business leaders to take decisions and actions that generate the best possible financial outcomes. They will be accountable for all BU financial reporting, will provide recommendations to improve revenue and margin, alongside evaluating the sales pipeline and other factors to determine potential improvement interventions.

 The role requires excellent business and commercial skills, with the ability to build confidence with the business leaders in order to influence senior decision-makers.

Jonas has a relaxed business culture, and could be remote working or office based. Having a high level if personal initiative is vital as well as the ability to interact with non-financial managers.

The role will involve some travel, this could be national or international.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTILES

Key Responsibilities: 

Work with the Business and execute the following responsibilities:

  • Support the Business Unit Leaders & Portfolio Managers to manage and challenge the business on current / future performance

  • Support the Business Unit Leader & FD in setting and achieving the Finance strategy

  • Be the single point of contact for the Business Unit Leaders and resolve any Finance queries

  • Overseeing risk management, including all relevant customer checks

  • Evaluate the product mix, provide insights and recommendations to improve revenue and margin outcomes

  • Work with the business and facilitate business input into the quarterly forecasting process

  • Understand revenue, GM and cost drivers to aid decision-makers in improving revenue, GM and profitability

  • Monthly Finance Review reporting & analysis. Comparing Forecast to actuals and reporting via Vena monthly.

  • Understanding the risks and opportunities in the business, mitigating impact on the business where required

  • Evaluation of sales pipeline to determine priorities and interventions that could aid conversion rates and future revenue and profitability

  • Oversee trend and variance analysis and explain commercial impacts to the business

  • Responsible for all internal quarterly disclosures and reporting for CSI.

  • Respond to relevant ad hoc queries from Jonas Corporate.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a Business Partner role, or as a Senior Management Accounts role

  • Ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)

  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills

  • Experience designing and using Excel functions for reconciliations and support for Balance Sheet Recs.

  • Experience of Microsoft Great Plains/ Microsoft Dynamics software would be an advantage, as would experience in the Software or IT industry.
