Job Summary:
A NAVBLUE Aeronautical Analyst - Charts is responsible for supporting the initial analysis and planning of work for the chart production teams (working to a 14-day revision cycle) as well as identifying and applying updates to NAVBLUE Supplement documents.
This analysis will cover all types of State-published aeronautical information (general information, enroute information, aerodrome information) within all documents types (aeronautical information publications, supplements, circulars etc).
Charts analysts will also provide high level technical response support on the customer portal and guidance to the chart production teams as required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse and organise aeronautical publication changes into production tasks to be carried out by the production teams (both charts and minima) in accordance with working instructions.
- Create and publish appropriate written change notification (bulletin) to users in cases where chart reissue has not been chosen.
- Develop knowledge and support application of the NAVBLUE Chart Specification to all NAVBLUE chart products (Charts and Supplement).
- Apply updates to xml database (M+Doc Chart Supplement) of aeronautical rules and directories in order to maintain the NAVBLUE Supplement.
- Raise and monitor communications to state authorities in response to any discrepancy identified through document analysis.
- Support communications with chart production teams to resolve production task feedback as well as providing guidance on production tasks.
- Build understanding and support development of the internal database of regionalised support content (NAVBLUE wiki).
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving personal actions from the weekly Ops Planning Feedback meeting.
- Identify quality or non-conformance issue(s), escalate appropriately and perform corrective actions (with guidance)

Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Cartography, Geography or air navigation industry experience
- Interest in the aviation industry
- Agile and SAFe methodologies working knowledge
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Geography, GIS, or Aeronautics is an asset.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Google suite
- Ability to learn bespoke software
