The Invictus Education Group is looking for an Instructional Designer to be based remotely.
The purpose of this role is to design and develop high-quality, engaging learning experiences for our IHS and SAE distance and contact provision. The goal is to facilitate students in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and engaging manner, using a variety of digital authoring tools and methodologies
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology or similar
Two years of proven working experience in instructional design for a variety of subjects and focus areas
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional and learning design models such as ADDIE, Backward Design, Blooms Taxonomy and Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction
Skills in creating a well-executed learning journey inclusive of curriculum and assessment development
Experience with learning tools such as Articulate 360, Basic HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for Learner Management Systems, Canva and AI tools
Solid knowledge of course/programme development software and at least one Learning Management System
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and video scripts for a variety of e-learning applications
Teaching or classroom facilitation experience is an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
