Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team.

This is a fully remote position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Implement data modeling, visualization, and reporting techniques to provide scalable and efficient BI solutions using Power BI, Dax, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot. 

• Understand and create solutions for business processing and Business Intelligence (BI) requirements 

• Strong experience with Power BI’s dedicated capacity and embedded paginated reports 

• Collaborate with BI, DB Engineers, Engineering, product, leadership, and other stakeholders to create and improve BI reporting solutions. 

• Administration and cataloging of Power BI artifacts 

• Research and investigate performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards 

• Develop prototypes and other research & development projects to provide solutions for both internal and external customers.  

Education 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline required

Experience

• Experience with reporting in support of web-based applications in a business-critical context 

• Two years or more, in a previous role, with the title of Business Intelligence Analyst  

• Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban) 

• English fluency at the highest level (conversational and reading/writing) - required  

• Power BI (3 years +) 

• Data Warehouse (3 years +) 

• Business Intelligence (3 years +) 

• MS SQL Server/Azure SQL database (3 years +)

• T-SQL (5 years +) 

• SSRS (2 years+) 

• Azure (3 years +) 

• Azure Data Factory experience is a plus

Technical Skills 

• Power BI, SQL Server, stored procedures, indexes, and functions experience 

• Strong Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Power Pivot, and Power Query abilities 

• Hands-on Data Modeling, ETL, SQL Database, and Data Visualization at the Enterprise level 

• Physical and logical database design

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience a plus 

• Azure solutions experience, including Azure DevOps, SQL DB, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake 

• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience a plus 

• Experience with Git repositories and Azure Source Control Best Practices 

• Agile Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
