Job Description

Statement of the Position:

Responsible for issuing purchase orders and following up with vendors for estimated ship dates to ensure timely delivery and escalation for orders that are not meeting the service level.

Duties And Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Handles all tasks relating to direct, inventory purchase orders for assigned branches. Including:
    • Issuing purchase orders
    • Part entry requests received from assigned branches.
    • Purchase order confirmation emails from vendors.
    • Open Order Reporting
    • Warranty and returns for purchase orders.
  • Identifies and resolves potential purchasing problems; follows up to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • May have a permanent or changing caseload assignment, with expectation to help support team members due to fluctuations in volume as possible.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by management.
  • Practices and adheres to all HIPAA, HQAA and Compliance rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for completing all continuing education requirements to include all assigned courses including HIPAA and other compliance training.
  • Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum Experience Required:
    • At least 3-5 years of directly related purchasing experience as mentioned above required.
  • Skills Required:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Operate Brightree software.
