Our busy and expanding Rural Property team provides a bespoke service across the South West tailored to meet our clients’ needs.
We have an experienced and well-respected team of skilled lawyers who pride themselves on their level of service, combining a traditional personal approach with speed and efficiency using the latest technology. A significant amount of work is received through recommendations from clients as well as from land and estate agents with whom we have excellent relationships.
What you’ll be doing
Your role as part of our rural property team will include acting for clients in a broad range of property work including buying, selling and mortgaging all manner of rural property from manor houses, farms and woodlands to holiday letting businesses and nature reserves. You will have a varied and interesting caseload (which will include some residential conveyancing of higher value properties) with the chance to hone existing skills and learn new ones, from overage and promotion agreements to dealing with easements and sporting rights. You will be supported in your work and mentored to run your own caseload with supervision. You will pro-actively participate in department and firm-wide marketing initiatives as well as initiate, build and maintain client and referrer relationships.
What you’ll have
You will be a NQ to 2 year PQE Solicitor, FCILEx, or Licensed Conveyancer with some experience of property work (whether residential or commercial) gained as part of your training or post qualification.
You will be personable, driven and enthusiastic and an effective communicator who is looking to build a successful career in rural property. As well as being comfortable working collaboratively within our team, you will also be able to work independently.
