Location: Fully Remote - based either in Los Angeles or Seattle, but open - PST working hours in A MUST

Schedule: M-F, 40 HR

Duration/Start Date: 6/2/2025

Salary: $44 /hourly

Candidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.

Summary

The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.

Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Skills

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

PMI or PMP certification preferred.

5-7 Years Experience Required.

The purpose of this team is Support the rapid growth of the Minecraft Consumer Products Business.

Key projects: This role will contribute to Day-to-day licensee management for Softlines categories in the U.S. and Canada, including apparel, accessories, footwear, and home.

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 60% external meetings, 20% collab, 20% working.

Role Responsibilities

Support the rapid growth of the Minecraft Consumer Products Business.

Day-to-day licensee management for Softlines categories in the U.S. and Canada, including apparel, accessories, footwear, and home.

Provide support on global brand collaborations.

May provide some support on Health & Beauty category.

Negotiate business proposal deal terms and manage contracts.

Help define category and brand strategy by reviewing market share and data analytics to develop strategies and business plans for key Softlines categories.

Develop strategies to increase licensee revenue and secure new business deals.

Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, and challenges.

Manage quarterly forecast process and contribute to annual budget planning.

Liaise with key internal teamsProduct Development, Legal, Finance, Franchise, and Marketingthrough matrix management to secure approvals, ensure internal alignment, and provide timely feedback for partners.

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.

Degrees or certifications required: NO degree is required to be eligible for this role. Bach Degree nice - Experience is a MUST

Disqualifiers: Candidates with no experience with license management will not be eligible for the role.

Best vs. Average: Pitch deck building experience, high end fashion collab experience, Health and Beauty experience.

Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on how they meet deadlines and quality of work, team feedback.

Experience Required

5+ years of experience in Consumer Products Softlines licensing, preferably in apparel and accessories.

Strong knowledge of and experience with licensing agreements, negotiating deal terms, contract administration, and processes.

Experience pitching, securing, and managing brand collaborations in fashion.

Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports to reflect business acumen and influence decision-making.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously against deadlines.

Understanding of the licensing landscape.

Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, brand management, product development, marketing, and competitive product and retail landscapes.

Passion for products and brand management, with successful outbound licensing experience at an entertainment studio, global consumer products company, or licensing agency.
