THE CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION has the following anticipated vacanc(ies) in Network Administration AEC LEA.80 (NET-46) for the FALL 2025, August 18 to January 24, 2026 (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 14:30).

COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)- NETWORK ADMINISTRATION AEC- B

As a teacher in our comprehensive NETWORK ADMINISTRATION program, you will provide students with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving world of technology.

The NETWORK ADMINISTRATION program, allows students to emerge as adept professionals capable of understanding diverse network protocols and mastering the installation and maintenance of network hardware. They will be proficient in troubleshooting both PC and network hardware, as well as client and network operating systems. Additionally, students willgain the expertise to design, implement, and manage both local and wide area networks, all while catering to the unique needs of users.

Required Qualifications COMPUTERSCIENCE (420)

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional/industry experience
  • Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills essential
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.
  • Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems.

  • CompTIA Linux+ or RHCE or equivalent (required)
  • Prior teaching experience in Linux (preferred)
  • Prior teaching experience in Cloud technologies Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure (preferred)

N.B. Contracts are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment in each course. Starting date, day/time and location for each course to be determined by the Centre for Continuing Education.

Note: In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional/industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
