The Global Travel Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s travel policies, processes, and procedures.

This role focuses on coordinating travel activities, maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, and monitoring compliance with company policies.

The Global Travel Coordinator does not handle direct bookings, but supervises the overall travel program and ensures smooth operations.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for employees regarding travel policies, vendors, and compliance questions.
  •  Develop and implement strategies to reduce overall travel costs while maintaining travel quality.
  •  Analyze travel data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
  •  Conduct periodic audits on travel expenses and reports to ensure full compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  •  Manage relationships with travel vendors such as airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and travel management companies.
  •  Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure competitive pricing, value-added services, and favorable terms.
  •  Evaluate and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  •  Address any issues or service failures with vendors promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to travel arrangements.
  •  Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in corporate travel.
  • Generate reports on travel spending, vendor performance, and program efficiency for senior management.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English.
  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate travel management or a related field, with a strong focus on vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Experience in global travel management and familiarity with international travel regulations, policies, and vendor networks.
  • Background in procurement processes and experience managing RFPs (Request for Proposals) for travel services.
  • Proven experience in corporate travel management or a related field, with a focus on cost optimization and vendor relations.
  • Strong knowledge of travel policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with external vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, assess, and report on travel-related data and expenses.
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with travel management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience working with the Concur system - An advantage
