Job description

Product Developer HCM | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £42,463 to £46,732 per annum (Scale K) | Norwich

We are looking for an experienced, UK based HCM Functional Product Developer to join Norfolk County Council, focusing on the maintenance of and development of the Oracle HCM system. The role is predominantly remote working.

Working with the direction of the HCM Product Owner, you will work from a stakeholder approved HCM backlog to design, develop, test and implement new features, ensuring that user needs are met, and the impacts of changes are appropriately assessed.

Norfolk County Council has a broad self-service implementation following the 'adopt not adapt' principle supporting up to 24K employees with multiple legal entities and payrolls that also encompasses Oracle ERP and EPM cloud applications.

Role

To be considered for the role, youll need a proven track record of experience in a HCM developer role, ideally in a large and complex organisation. Youll need:

  • Experience of developing within Oracle Fusion, specifically within HCM. Experience within modules to include Core HR, Talent Management (Recruitment, Onboarding, Learn, Goals & Performance), OTL, Compensation and an understanding of the links to Payroll.
  • Accurate estimations of development time required from design to test.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop solutions that make best use of the technology and resources available.
  • The ability to provide innovative, creative and practical solutions, whilst delivering value.
  • Coach and support other members of the development team.
