Position Summary
A rapidly growing specialty healthcare group is seeking a strategic, operationally driven Vice President of Clinical Recruitment to lead the continued national expansion of its clinical workforce. As a high-growth, multi-state specialty healthcare platform, the organization is scaling rapidly through acquisitions, integration, and innovation. This role is critical to shaping a recruitment function that is both a growth engine and a cultural steward.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP will partner closely with the C-suite to architect and execute a provider recruitment strategy aligned with business goals, service line development, and long-term growth planning. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity that bridges recruitment strategy with operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership in Recruitment Strategy
Spearhead the development and execution of national recruitment strategies for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).
Create a data-driven hiring roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
Enhance the organization’s reputation through exceptional candidate experiences, seamless onboarding, and a compelling employer value proposition.
Operational Integration & Workforce Planning
Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with productivity models and market demands.
Build scalable recruitment systems to support growth across multiple markets.
Utilize workforce forecasting tools to proactively anticipate and address hiring needs.
Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, providing strategic counsel on recruitment matters.
Contribute to M&A efforts, workforce integration, and market expansion planning.
Partner with clinical leadership to ensure provider alignment with organizational culture and quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop a high-performing, results-driven clinical recruitment team.
Set clear KPIs, establish training paths, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
Cultivate deep expertise in specialty provider recruitment across diverse healthcare sectors.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Develop and maintain recruitment dashboards to track key metrics such as pipeline health, time-to-fill, retention, and cost-per-hire.
Leverage data insights to guide decision-making and adjust recruitment strategies to meet organizational objectives.
Ensure recruitment analytics are closely aligned with broader organizational goals and performance metrics.
Provider Engagement & Retention
Work with HR and Clinical Operations to refine onboarding processes, mentorship programs, and overall provider engagement.
Implement retention strategies to improve provider satisfaction and reduce turnover.
Champion a high-quality, mission-aligned experience for all providers throughout their journey with the organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 10+ years in clinical or physician recruitment, with a strong preference for backgrounds in PE-backed or multi-site healthcare settings.
Operational Expertise: Proven success scaling recruitment operations and teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Strategic Vision: Deep understanding of workforce strategy, provider compensation structures, and multi-state recruitment.
Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with C-Suite leaders, clinical teams, and other key stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Highly skilled in using data analytics, predictive hiring models, and workforce planning tools to drive recruitment decisions.
