As a Finance & Strategy Manager at Group 1001, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence and strategic growth as we evolve into a dominant, next-generation financial services company, serving millions of customers.

Working within the Strategy & Leverage team, you will be part of a cross-functional team that partners with senior leaders across the company. You will specifically support the Chief Marketing Officer of Group 1001 on finance-focused initiatives. This includes identifying financial opportunities, developing sophisticated budgeting and forecasting models, and helping to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.

In this role, you will be the financial backbone of strategic initiatives. We're looking for people who thrive when balancing rigorous financial discipline with creative problem-solving in a fast-growing environment!

Examples of projects you'll own:

  • Developing comprehensive budgeting and forecasting models for distribution/marketing initiatives, and a fast-growing fintech
  • Building financial cases for new strategic initiatives and tracking ROI Creating frameworks for expense capitalization decisions for entrepreneurial projects
  • Preparing financial analysis sections for the CMO's presentations to the board, regulators, and internal stakeholders
  • Conducting scenario planning to optimize resource allocation across marketing channels
  • Analyzing financial performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and efficiency improvements

We are seeking the following background:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in finance and a track record of high performance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related is required
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Strong financial acumen: ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models that drive business decisions
  • A collaborative and high-positivity operating style, with a strong service mentality
  • An action-oriented & curious mindset with a strong focus on turning financial data into actionable strategic insights
  • A bias toward extreme ownership
  • A desire to be coached and an expectation that we can always get better

We think it might be especially helpful to have:

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within insurance, financial services, or fintech
  • Ability to pair technical expertise with business context to make high quality decisions
  • Knowledge of expense capitalization principles and practices in high-growth environments
  • Outstanding executive-level written and verbal communication skills. You can translate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong people leadership skills, including proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading finance-focused projects in a high-growth environment
  • Direct and transparent communication style
  • High level of trustworthiness and discretion
  • Advanced proficiency with financial modeling and analysis tools
