Payroll Coordinator (Remote)

Vacancy Disclosure: Existing Vacancy

 

Responsibilities

  • Semi-monthly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now software (95% salary and 5% hourly)
    • ADP data entry review
    • Concur expense report review and upload in ADP
    • Review, auditing, and approval of sales commission inputs and upload to ADP
    • Analyze payroll reports (leveraging Excel functionality) to ensure all team members are paid accurately
    • Resolving any ADP discrepancies and ADP technical issues
  • Monthly payroll budget variance analysis
  • Ad hoc reports and manual payroll tax calculations
  • Benefits coordination and reconciliation
  • Workers compensation, employer health tax, and other statutory deductions, reconciliation and payment submissions
  • Wellness and discretionary expense tracking
  • Completion of annual payroll documents (T4; T4A; T2200)
  • Other payroll related duties as required
  • Review of tax filing documents, and resolve discrepancies with applicable governing bodies 

 Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of Canadian payroll legislation (across multiple provinces)
  • 1-3 years experience processing full cycle payroll.
  • PCP designation completed or in progress an asset.
  • Experience with reviewing legal employment contracts
  • Above average Excel skills
  • Excellent knowledge of ADP an asset
  • Working knowledge of Concur expense software an asset
  • High attention to detail and drive to achieve 100% accuracy
