Job description

Team

Our FinTech team is at the forefront of integrating HubSpot’s internal systems with NetSuite, our core financial management platform. We’re on a mission to replace fragmented integrations with modern, scalable, and secure solutions that support financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. In addition to driving architecture and engineering upgrades, we partner closely with business stakeholders and provide world-class support across financial operations: accounting, tax, fixed assets, procurement, revenue ops, automations, tax reporting, bank relationship management, and more.

Role

As a NetSuite Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you’ll be the go-to authority for our NetSuite environment. You’ll serve as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for highly visible projects—engaging early with stakeholders, defining priorities, scoping efforts, and delivering seamless solutions. Leveraging your deep NetSuite expertise and strong understanding of business processes, you’ll drive scalable system enhancements, streamline workflows, and safeguard compliance and security. Successful candidates will combine technical know-how, process design skills, and exceptional communication to bridge business needs with technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as DRI for major NetSuite initiatives from stakeholder engagement to deployment and adoption, ensuring timely, impactful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from Accounting, Tax, QTC, FinOps, Procurement, Revenue Ops, and FP&A to translate business needs into effective NetSuite solutions.
  • Define project scope, set priorities, and manage schedules for NetSuite-driven projects.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive records of NetSuite configurations, customizations, and integrations, ensuring clarity and audit readiness.
  • Design and implement scalable, repeatable integration patterns and automations—emphasizing segregation of duties, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with NetSuite architects and engineers to address scalability, maintainability, and integration challenges.
  • Administer, customize, and maintain NetSuite production systems, including roles/permissions, workflows, saved searches, and custom records/fields.
  • Develop processes and guidelines for clean, effective stakeholder integrations with NetSuite.
  • Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues, synchronization errors (i.e., billing sync), and ticket escalations.
  • Own and manage NetSuite-tax engine (e.g., Avalara) integrations; maintain accurate tax configurations and collaborate with Tax teams to ensure compliance.
  • Support upgrade/migration projects (sandbox, production), and reduce ongoing reliance on workarounds via automation or ecosystem transfer.
  • Ensure SOX/ITGC compliance and the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Lead and participate in BSA administration tasks: user support, troubleshooting, permissions, report development, and ongoing system reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years’ hands-on experience as a NetSuite BSA or NetSuite Admin—strong background in configuration, customization, and administration (roles, permissions, workflows, saved searches, custom records, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with NetSuite integrations, cross-system automations, and data flow management.
  • Solid grasp of accounting, finance, and operational business processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, process documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Skilled communicator able to bridge business and technical audiences; strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Project management skills—can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining system/process documentation.

Preferred

  • NetSuite Administrator and/or SuiteFoundation certification(s).
  • SuiteScript or other scripting/integration experience.
  • SaaS/technology industry background.
  • Experience with Avalara or similar tax engine integrations.
  • Exposure to SOX, IT general controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Track record of designing, implementing, and managing tax logic/rules in NetSuite environments.
  • Deep understanding of tax regulations and audit-safe reporting.
