Job Title: Project Engineer - Preconstruction
Location:
Remote (PST Time Zone)
Salary Range:
up to 3000 USD

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST)

Position Overview:

Were looking for a Project Engineer with a background in civil or structural engineering to lead the preconstruction phase of our deck and construction projects. This role is critical in translating design and sales handoffs into comprehensive execution plans, ensuring that site teams and field managers are equipped with clear, actionable project scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review sales/design team inputs to develop construction-ready project plans.
  • Create detailed material takeoffs and special equipment lists.
  • Build project budgets and schedules aligned with the scope and timelines.
  • Define the scope of work and hand off clear deliverables to on-site teams.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to clarify technical requirements.
  • Adjust and update project plans based on site or client feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Background in civil engineering, structural engineering, or construction project management.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans, sets, and construction drawings.
  • Experience preparing takeoffs, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Attention to detail and a structured, process-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience with deck construction or similar residential/commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with typical construction timelines and field coordination.
  • Exposure to budgeting tools or software (though tools can be taught).
