Job Description

Job Summary

The Credit Bureau Manager oversees the day to day functions related to all Credit Bureau Reporting and Disputes.  This includes responding to disputes, processing rejects, reviewing controls and analyzing data to insure accurate Credit Bureau Reporting.  The Credit Bureau Manager will ensure the effective processing of disputes/tasks within established SLA’s while maintaining quality and accuracy.  This position drives team performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state & federal laws.

This position will manage a staff of Credit Bureau specialists that respond to disputes and work closely with the Credit Reporting agencies to solve rejects and exceptions.   This position drives team performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable state & federal laws.

Job Duties
  • Monitor daily execution of responding to disputes whether received from the CRA or Directly from the customer. Ensure disputes are investigated and accurately responded to in a manner that complies with the FCRA and Metro2 Standards.  Monitor SLA’s, perform reconciliation and complete regular quality checks.
  • Ensure Credit Bureau controls are executed in a timely manner and any exceptions are processed within SLA.
  • Review the rejected data records and coordinate with the respective Credit Bureau Agencies for corrections.
  • Ensure compliance to Internal Policies/Procedures and FCRA regulations by continuously reviewing processes/reporting to identify opportunities for enhancements/controls,
  • Provides coaching/development and support to direct reports.  Meets regularly with direct reports to understand workloads, achievements and opportunities.  Assists in overcoming obstacles.
  • Coordinate with other business areas launching new products to ensure accurate reporting to the CRA’s,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Six (6) year of experience and one (1) years of management experience.
  • Two (2) years of Credit Bureau Reporting and Disputes experience
  • Extensive experience in FCRA requirements and Metro2Standards
  • Experienced in FCRA requirements and Metro2Standards
  • Problem solving skills - resolution of customer complaints
  • Proficient in e-Oscar (Credit Bureau Dispute Tool)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills - oral and written
  • Intermediate Excel Experience – Must be able to perform data analysis which includes but not limited to creating v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Create policies and procedures
