As a Key Account Manager- Semiconductor for the Semiconductor market product portfolio in the Semiconductor Vertical Organization at 3M, you will have the opportunity to tap into your semiconductor industry knowledge & network and in addition collaborate with some of the most innovative people working at 3M around the world to provide value added solutions to key customer needs you identify.  You will make an impact by:

  • Managing a segment of the key customers in the fast-growing Semiconductor industry through cutting edge technological solutions that advance our customers
  • Understanding industry trends & necessary solutions to address gaps for customer needs and communicating the needs to the 3M organization.
  • Developing customer strategies to grow the business by addressing customer needs through available core competencies of the 3M organization.
  • Implementing the customer strategies aligned with the global product platform strategy to develop & penetrate key applications including new products and existing portfolio in entire value chain of Semiconductor accounts through strong key account management skills.
  • Aligning with US and Global 3M Semiconductor organization leadership team to set and execute operating plans to support business growth at key accounts
  • Supporting the creation of solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems through customer collaboration, ingenuity, creativity, innovation and strong analytical skills, and working collaboratively across the global organization on global accounts through multiple geographies, cultures and time zones.
  • Utilizing “Salesforce” as a tool to effectively communicate the account needs to internal organization, track progress and manage the account to deliver solutions to customers on time.
  • Achieving Sales Quota and price attainment as per the Operating plan

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of experience in materials for the semiconductor device fabrication area in a customer facing role in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Two (2) years in a customer facing role with one of the key strategic device manufacturers
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in Science/Engr preferred
  • Experience in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization), TBDB (temporary bonding & De-bonding), WSS (wafer support systems), chip transport tape or materials for advanced packaging of multi-chip systems
  • Fluency in Japanese and/or Chinese languages
  • Hard skills such as managing large key accounts, pricing, contract management
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to support customers with product introductions (new and existing), supply of demand and logistics
  • Soft Skills such as a growth mindset, listening, effective communication, collaboration (internal and external), conflict management, results focus, entrepreneurial mindset & negotiation

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic and occasionally up to 10% International

Location – New York or Pennsylvania or Remote USA

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $188,251 - $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
