The Opportunity

AliveCor is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Consumer Retail Business Sales Leader to drive product engagement and placement within US-based retail channels, both physical and virtual, to join our consumer Marketing department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in consumer electronics and/or healthcare devices, with a proven track record of successfully engaging retailers and achieving revenue targets in a remote work environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively to maximize our product presence and sales within the retail market.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic expansion of our retail program into new accounts, physical and virtual, while driving sales growth in existing accounts
  • Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with key North America-based retail partners conducting regular business reviews, and constantly investigating new ways to innovate and improve upon the existing retail program at an account-based level
  • Design and execute strategies customized for the Amazon marketplace, staying current on best practices, Amazon program offerings, and overall health of our brand store and product listings
  • Secure optimal product placement and visibility in both physical and virtual retail stores to drive consumer awareness and sales
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the assigned retail channels
  • Select, hire, onboard and manage broker partners as needed for select retail opportunities
  • Oversee, audit and manage affiliate program
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new retail opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product launches, promotions, and inventory management
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to management, and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Manage and grow existing retail accounts, identifying opportunities for expansion and increased sales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and other key decision-makers
  • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with retailers to maximize profitability and product visibility
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and manage inventory levels to meet retailer demand and minimize stockouts
  • Lead a small retail sales account team to forecast, plan, and execute on sales targets. Conduct product training as needed, and build product knowledge for retail accounts

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within the consumer retail industry
  • Proven track record of success in selling consumer electronics and/or healthcare devices to major US retailers
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and growing retail accounts, with a history of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the US retail landscape, including both physical and e-commerce channels
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 15-20%)

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Existing network of contacts within the consumer electronics and/or healthcare device retail industry
  • Experience selling on Amazon.com, and selling to Best Buy, CVS and Walmart
  • Experience with product merchandising and in-store marketing
