To undertake responsibility as required for Chemelex site activities to include the supervision of sub-contractors, customer liaison, problem solving and any other tasks necessary to ensure that agreed project deadlines are met within budgeted cost.

  • Demonstrate the installation of Chemelex  supplied cables and components.
  • Inspect and test heat tracing circuits to ensure that installation meets with Chemelex  standards and the customer specifications.
  • Install Chemelex  materials on small projects by himself
  • Measure installed quantities of cables and components.
  • Respond to sub-contractor queries on drawings and schedules to ensure that solutions will be found and implemented with a minimum of delay
  • Work safely at all times and monitor the safety performance of the sub- contractor to establish compliance with site and national safety rules.
  • Provide interface for sub-contractor with piping, painting and insulation representatives.
  • Provide feed back on actual progress of project work to the Chemelex  Installation Coordinator and/or Project Engineer/Manager
  • Train sub-contractors employee to carry out installations in accordance with Chemelex  instructions.
  • Provide emergency on site first aid cover as required on sites where first aid cover is not provided by the client
  • Complete daily progress reports and test certificates as required
  • To establish project technical requirements through interpretation of specifications and other technical documentation (both Chemelex  and Client generated documents)
  • Interpret piping and instrument diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, piping plan drawings, piping specifications and bills of material, area classification drawings, and instrument details
  • Ensure that all work carried out meets or exceeds the client’s expectations in terms of quality, completion on time and inspection.
  • Regularly monitor actual project progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met to ensure client satisfaction
  • Liaise with client’s representatives on behalf of Chemelex  to ensure queries and problems are quickly resolved.
  • Participate in development and improvement initiatives, and undertake internal and external training and product awareness.
  • Develop an understanding of how Chemelex  works in all areas so that our true costs can be captured and covered within a proposal
  • Continuously develop own knowledge of the products and services that we offer.
