Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Event Marketing has the responsibility to create and implement programs and policies that assist with the growth and maintenance of the Special Events program while ensuring business best practices are aligned with Sales Operations goals. A critical focus of this position is expense management and ensuring proformas and forecasting are aligned with goals to increase program efficiencies. Reinforcing the goals and tactics with field partners while following the existing scalable and sustainable roadmap to drive efficiencies, will be essential.
 

Partnering with field leadership to identify opportunities within the program’s operation and developing solutions to take advantage of these opportunities will be the day-to-day objectives for the individual in this role. This role may also leverage new partnerships to deliver events focusing on new customer acquisition. He/she will also oversee the implementation of these solutions/tactics. Coordination with other corporate personnel will also be required to assist in the implementation of the developed tasks.


What You'll Bring

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Leads Special Event Managers/Coordinators/Liaisons regionally to ensure that marketing plans are followed do meet and exceed event marketing budgets. – 30%
• Manages relationships with the various properties (resorts GMs, Sales & Marketing Leadership) to ensure the owner experience is delivered at the highest level. - 20%
• Manages the regional event schedule to ensure that Mangers/ coordinators/liaisons are planning events efficiently to ensure that capacity will meet/exceed budget targets. - 15%
• Tracks and reports budgeted numbers and team member personal production – 15%
• Responsible to address service recovery escalations and address directly with owners any escalations and related to events. - 5%
• Trains and coaches Event managers and coordinators on executing the marketing plan - 5%
• Maintains knowledge of Company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with same – 5%
• Responsible for ensuring performance management metrics are being applied equally to all team members. – 5%
Travel Requirements
Up to 50% travel may be required

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred

• Should be able to communicate the insight and ideas effectively
• Ability to effectively communicate and partner with Sr. Leadership and peers

• Strong time management skills, team contributor, and detail oriented

Job experience
• Marketing manager experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
• Understanding of sales and marketing practices in vacation ownership, preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in broad-based relationship management or account executive role, or related experience

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
