Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct new hire and ongoing training for SIU investigators and report compliance to management.
  • Act as an informal supervisor during training sessions and provide counseling on performance issues.
  • Investigate and audit case reports, maintaining oversight of associates' progress during training.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of SIU training programs, reporting findings to management.

Job description

Under general supervision, CONDUCTS new hire and continuing fraud/investigative instruction for a planning center.

Essential Functions:

1. TEACHES and COORDINATES SIU investigator training programs within the planning center and reports compliance to CHO SIU.

2. ACTS as informal supervisor for associates during in-class training and transition orientation.

3. INSTRUCTS students on effective and necessary customer service skills, COUNSELS associates on behavioral and performance problems, and RECOMMENDS disciplinary action when necessary.

4. INVESTIGATES, COMPLETES, and AUDITS case reports.

5. MAINTAINS and REVIEWS SIU associates’ progress while in training and while on orientation. RECOMMENDS continued employment or additional training of students to SIU management.

6. ASSISTS in the development and design of the SIU training programs. MONITORS, REVIEWS, and EVALUATES their effectiveness. REPORTS recommendations and results to SIU management.

7. PERFORMS audits of SIU investigations to identify gaps in technical knowledge and trains current SIU associates to improve technical expertise.

8. ADHERES to the Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.

9. MEETS attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers.

10. MEETS the requirements specified below.

• Must be able to, with or without accommodation, perform the essential functions which include, but are not limited to seeing, hearing, typing, speaking, sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to speak in a professional manner by telephone
• Must be able to attain and maintain the required licenses issued by the insurance departments of various states
• Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
• Must be able to work varying schedules to meet staffing
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must have insurance experience
  • Commercial experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able to design training programs and roll it out to GEICO's Learning Team


 

Annual Salary

$82,000.00 - $129,150.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
