Service-Engineer Analytical Instruments (m/w/d)

Your work on analytical equipment is crucial for important processes at our customer and contributes, for example, to ensuring that research tasks can be carried out precisely and on time or that quality standards are met.

We welcome applications from proven field service engineers as well as lab scientists with an interest in a career change.

The Tasks:

  • You are the point of contact for users of very complex analysis devices with regard to the installation, maintenance, repair and qualification of the devices.
  • Supported by the team, you will take over the personal contact when users need professional help. You will work closely with different experts.
  • Customers trust your advice on software updates, device upgrades, qualifications and process optimizations.
  • With your qualified error analyses and qualitative documentation, you will support an increasingly targeted troubleshooting and continuous improvement, both for us and for the customer.
  • You also keep an eye on the commercial aspects of your work and
  • take the initiative when needs arise,
  • ensure on-time and content-appropriate invoicing, and
  • Make balanced decisions for replacement or repair.

The Profile:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Engineering or similar.
  • Ideally, initial professional experience in technical customer service for software-based, analytical systems
  • Independent, structured and efficient way of working, organizational talent, commitment and a high degree of customer orientation
  • Very good command of written and spoken English. In addition, French or German advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office package
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 80% - the territory is all Switzerland though significant proportion of customers are in the NW.
