WMT is seeking an experienced Sales Executive who will lead our sales organization and drive revenue growth for our innovative fan engagement & data analytics SaaS platform. Powered by our proprietary AI models, WMT’s solutions empower leading sports teams, leagues, conferences and live events to intelligently engage their fans, understand fan behaviors and effectively monetize the digital experience. With over a decade of experience, WMT has successfully deployed their solutions across numerous marquee sports and entertainment organizations and is poised for continued growth.
We are seeking a sales leader and collaborator with a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment industry and a proven track record of selling digital, data, and technology solutions. You are equally comfortable developing high-level sales strategies and rolling up your sleeves to close deals. You excel at leading and inspiring sales teams, refining go-to-market strategies, and forging lasting partnerships. Above all, you are a team player, a master communicator, and a results-driven professional who knows how to turn opportunities into revenue.
YOUR IMPACT AND AREAS OF FOCUS:
- Build and manage the sales team: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and collaboration.
- Drive revenue & profit growth: Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas while structuring deals for maximum profitability.
- Establish a repeatable sales process: Develop and implement a structured sales process, including lead generation, qualification, product demos, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Proactively manage team against KPIs: Develop core sales KPIs to assess effectiveness of sales motion, quality of pipeline and predictability of deals.
- Penetrate new market segments: Drive adoption of core products & services into new market segments within the sports & entertainment industries.
- Manage the sales pipeline: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales forecasts.
- Define effective sales enablement collateral: Collaborate with marketing to create compelling sales materials, including presentations, case studies, and proposals.
- Build strong relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the sports and music & entertainment verticals.
- Negotiate contracts: Negotiate and structure complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that drive long-term success.
- Sales forecasting and reporting:Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline, and market trend to the executive team, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies.
- CRM management: Effectively utilize CRM software (HubSpot) to manage sales activities, track leads, and generate reports.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE…
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS/technology/data sales with a proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets
- 5+ years in a sales leadership role.
- Strong preference for experience in technology sales specific to the sports & entertainment verticals
- Deep understanding of the SaaS sales cycle and best practices
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, relationship management and closing skills.
- Strong preference for a deep network of contacts within the sports, entertainment, and media industries.
- Experience structuring and delivering on large, complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to use analytics to optimize sales strategies and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.
