This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Client Time zone: PDT - Los Angeles

Responsibilities:

Process and submit medical claims electronically to insurance companies
Enter and verify charges accurately in the billing system
Process incoming payments and post to appropriate accounts
Handle denial management and follow up on unpaid claims
Manage accounts receivable and conduct regular AR reviews
Double-check all entries for accuracy before submission
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and privacy standards

Requirements

1-2 years of medical billing experience
Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance claim procedures
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Spanish language skills preferred but not required
Experience with electronic medical billing systems
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy requirements
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
