Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: 
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM UK time with an hour of unpaid lunch break; (7 hours per day / 35 hours per week)

We are currently seeking a Financial Administrator to join our team and support the day-to-day financial operations. This role is essential to ensuring smooth financial processes, accurate record-keeping, and timely communications across departments and with suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure payments are made on time

  • Match delivery notes with invoices, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with the team

  • Assist in accounts payable and receivable operations

  • Reconcile company credit cards and bank transactions

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports

  • Help facilitate monthly and year-end close processes

  • Maintain well-organised and accurate financial documentation

  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding finance

  • Conduct aged debt analysis and prioritize debt collection

  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies and relevant regulations

  • Upload and process receipts/invoices using Dext software

  • Work within Xero (preferred) or quickly adapt to new financial systems and tools



Requirements
  • Proven experience in finance admin, bookkeeping, or similar role

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Clear and professional communication via email and phone

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members to resolve queries

  • Familiarity with Xero is a plus, but not required if you can quickly adapt

  • Previous experience using Dext (or similar platforms) is advantageous

  • Background in finance/accounting is ideal but not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience
