What’s unique about this role?
The Senior RIM Consultant works as a member of Lighthouse’s Information Governance Consulting team and collaborates with clients and internal operational teams to manage and support work associated with helping organizations expand and update their RIM programs.
The Senior RIM Consultant will lead client workstreams and work in collaboration with and at the direction of Associate Project Manager(s), Project Manager(s), Associate Director(s), and Managers to ensure project requirements are met.
The role contributes to the execution of world-class program development, providing a consultative approach to problem solving, and identifying critical paths to project completion with a focus on helping clients reduce costs, increase agility, and reduce risk.
What will this person do?
- Support client projects by executing project-specific tasks in Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management and Records Management, including retention policy and label development, disposition review configuration, and event based retention enablement
- Gain an understanding of the critical paths needed to progress work through the system, and tools used by Lighthouse to manage workflows and develop client relationships
- Work with clients to understand the full end-to-end lifecycle of records and information from a technical and program perspective
- Lead client-facing demonstrations of Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management and Records Management tools
- As requested, participate in project management tasks including custom reporting, kick-off calls, documentation of workflows and standards, and project closure tasks
- Draft client deliverables, including high-level design documents, workflow diagrams, PowerPoint decks explaining technical concepts
- Participate in process improvement initiatives as identified by Information Governance practice team leaders
- Assist businesses with records management processes and workflows; develop training for key Information Governance and Records concepts and processes

- 5+ years’ experience using one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Purview
- SharePoint Records Center
- OpenText Records
- Documentum
- HP Trim
- Demonstrated experience applying RIM principles to core RIM activities such as physical and electronic information management, retention/disposition, etc.

- Demonstrated experience applying RIM principles to core RIM activities such as physical and electronic information management, retention/disposition, etc.
- Accreditation (CRM, IGP, IAPP, etc.) preferred but not essential OR experience working in-house on a corporate records management/information governance team
- Familiarity with domestic and international data privacy regulations (CPRA, GDPR, etc.)
- Previous experience in a RIM/IG role is essential for this position, applicants without relevant experience will not be considered
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Eagerness to support sales related activities, i.e., conduct demonstration or support technical discussions during sales presentations
- Ability to read and understand detailed technology documentation
- Knowledge of record retention schedule and records policy development
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standards exist
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including having the ability to deal with difficult situations and manage conflicts to successful resolutions
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work within timelines
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle a changing and growing workload
- Ability to foster positive and professional relationships at all levels internally and externally
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
